Notice is hereby given to the general public that the Electoral Commission of Zambia has prescribed Friday, 20th December, 2024 as the date on which to hold the National Assembly by-election in Kawambwa Constituency in Kawambwa District of Luapula Province and two (2) ward by-elections in Kawama Ward in Chililabombwe District of Copperbelt Province and Lilondo Ward in Shangombo District in Western Province.

CONTINUOUS REGISTRATION OF VOTERS (CRV) UPDATE FOR SEPTEMBER 2024

The Electoral Commission of Zambia has registered 12,248 voters in the month of September, 2024, out of which 6005 are male while 6243 are female. Samfya recorded the highest number of registered voters in the month under review at 1004, while Kabwe recorded the least at 38.

ECZ DISPELS ALLEGATIONS OF SECRET VOTER REGISTRATION

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has been made aware of a statement attributed to the former Republican President, Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, in which he alleges that the
Commission is conducting secret voter registration. The Commission wishes to categorically state that it takes great exception on the notion that it is engaged in the conduct of secret registration of voters in the country. The Commission wishes to state that these allegations are false, unfounded, and malicious and is a misrepresentation of the transparent process in the conduct of Continuous Registration of Voters (CRV) exercise since its inception in June, 2022. -
