The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has been made aware of a statement attributed to the former Republican President, Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, in which he alleges that the
Commission is conducting secret voter registration. The Commission wishes to categorically state that it takes great exception on the notion that it is engaged in the conduct of secret registration of voters in the country. The Commission wishes to state that these allegations are false, unfounded, and malicious and is a misrepresentation of the transparent process in the conduct of Continuous Registration of Voters (CRV) exercise since its inception in June, 2022.
