The Electoral Commission of Zambia recently made a decision to conduct the by-election in Mwanza East Ward of Monze District despite the reported violence.

The month of April saw the Commission conduct a series of Public Forums in eight (8) provincial centres, in order to engage stakeholders in the electoral process and carry out dialogues on issues relating to the conduct of elections in Zambia.

As part of Women’s Week Celebrations the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) on 6th March, 2018 during the Meet-Up staff were engaged in a Dialogue titled: “The Status of Women in Relevant Sectors.”

Staff at the Commission attended a presentation by Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Cancer Diseases Hospital Dr. George Nkonde Pupwe on 15th March, 2018 at Commission Headquarters.

Electoral Commission of Zambia emerged winners of the Best Interpretation of the theme at the Youth Forum and Young Entrepreneurs and Innovation Exhibition in the corporate category at the Government Complex in Lusaka, Zambia. The theme of the Youth Conference was “Leveraging Opportunities for Youth through Information Communication Technologies (ICTs).”
