Chana Kaunda Zambezi is New ECZ Director Electoral Operations

Chana Kaunda Zambezi has been appointed as the new Electoral Commission of Zambia Director Electoral Operations.

Before joining the ECZ Ms. Zambezi worked at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as the Programme Officer in the UNDP Governance Unit. One of her responsibilities in this role which she assumed in 2009 was formulation and strategic support to development of priority areas for the 2015-2018 Electoral Cycle Support to the Government of the Republic of Zambia with an envelope of approximately $40Million over the years.
Her other engagements include working as Community Coordinator Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT) at the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ).

Ms. Kaunda told the Monthly that in her new role as DEO she looked forward to working with colleagues and contribute to the enhancement of the Commission’s capacity to meet the expectations of its stakeholders efficiently.

Ms. Kaunda holds a Master of Science in Conflict Management from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw Georgia, USA and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the American Inter-Continental University in Atlanta Georgia USA.
