Elections & IT Departments Conduct Post-Election Review Meeting in Lusaka The Elections and IT departments conducted a Post Election review Meeting for Lusaka District at Golden Peacock Hotel in Lusaka on 11th April, 2017 with the support of the UNDP with funding from EU, UKAid, Irish Aid and USAID.The Elections and IT departments conducted a Post Election review Meeting for Lusaka District at Golden Peacock Hotel in Lusaka on 11th April, 2017 with the support of the UNDP with funding from EU, UKAid, Irish Aid and USAID.

The Meeting was attended by the Provincial Electoral Officer (PEO), the District Electoral Officer (DEO), the Assistant District Electoral Officer, Returning Officers, and Technical Support Officers among others.

Participants were drawn from Lusaka district in Lusaka Province.

The Review Meeting was aimed at informing the Commission on aspects of the 2016 elections which were managed by field Staff in the districts.

The workshop outcomes included;

Recommendations for improvement in the operations of the Commission as it prepares for the 2021 General Elections;
Areas of improvement and noted some of the critical challenges the field staff faced in conducting the elections;
Sharing experiences and enhancing best practices among Field Staff and the Commission.

The review was facilitated by Electoral Experts Mr. Mwenda Mumbuna and Mr. Paul Anderson.

The review workshop in Lusaka follows other reviews which have taken in provinces place across the country.
