The Commission has constituted a team of members of staff who will oversee activities for the Masaiti District Council Chairperson’s by-elections to be held on Tuesday 25th April, 2017.
The members of staff, who are scheduled to leave for Masaiti on Wednesday, 12th April 2017 include Senior Electoral Officers,
Mrs Anna Nkaka and Mr. Zachariah Kunda, Assistant Electoral Officer,
Mr. Bazolo Mseteka, Voter Education Officer, Mr. Isaac Muyuni and ICT Support Assistant, Mrs Carol Bupe.
While in Masaiti, the team will witness the shortlisting of the poll staff who will include Presiding Officers, Assistant Presiding Officers, Polling Assistants and Ushers. After the shortlisting exercise, the poll staff will undergo a training.
The team will also witness the briefing of Polling Agents and the Uniformed Staff, who will participate in the polls. The members of staff will then also observe the polls, the counting and the activities up to the declaration of the results. They are expected back in Lusaka on Thursday 27th April, 2017.
