The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has today, 22nd February 2026, officially commenced the Electronic/Online Inspection of the Register of Voters, which will run until 8th March 2026.
This initiative is part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility, and convenience in the provision of electoral services ahead of the 2026 General Election.
The Electronic/Online Inspection exercise enables registered voters to conveniently verify their details as captured in the Provisional Register of Voters. During this period, voters are encouraged to confirm among other things, correctness of spelling of names, polling station details and other personal registration particulars
Registered voters may verify their details using any of the following platforms:
- USSD Code: Dial *214# on any mobile phone and follow the prompts.
- ECZ Online Portal: Visit the official website at: https://ovr.elections.org.zm/
- ECZ Mobile Application: Download the ECZ App (ECZ Companion) from Google Play Store and follow the verification steps.
The Commission urges all registered voters to take advantage of these platforms to confirm the accuracy of their details.
Further, the Commission wishes to inform all registered voters that the Electronic/Online Inspection is strictly for verification of voter registration details. Registered voters who discover any errors or require changes to their registration details such as corrections to personal information will not be able to make those changes electronically. Such services will only be available during the Physical Inspection of the Register of Voters, which will take place from 2nd March to 8th March 2026 at all polling stations across the country
The Commission strongly encourages voters who identify discrepancies during the electronic inspection to take note and visit their respective polling stations during the physical inspection period to resolve the issues.
The Commission urges all registered voters to participate actively in this important exercise.
