RESOLUTIONS OF THE MEETING HELD BETWEEN THE ECZ, ZAMBIA POLICE, PATRIOTIC FRONT AND UNITED PARTY FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

1. The meeting resolved that arrangements should be made for the Commission, Zambia Police and Secretary Generals of the Patriotic Front and United Party for National Development to appear on ZNBC and other identified media houses to make pronouncements to political party supporters on the need to respect each other’s right to freely campaign within the COVID-19 guidelines. The parties further resolved that the two political parties institute necessary measures within party structures with attendant sanctions

2. That the current COVID-19 restrictions as prescribed through the Standard Operating Procedures shall continue to apply and that political parties should adhere to approved campaign schedules subject to any changes should be duly endorsed by the Zambia Police service

3. Political parties should exercise maximum tolerance in conducting approved campaign activities and that all parties should desist from tampering with other parties campaign materials like posters or billboards and any acts in contravention of the Electoral Code of Conduct.
