The Electoral Commission of Zambia has received several awards at the ZAPRA 5th Annual Public Relations and Communications Conference which was held from 26th-28th October 2016 at the David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa in Livingstone.

The event was hosted by the Zambia Public Relations Association (ZAPRA) under the theme “the Role of Communications in Regional Integration”.

The awards received by the Commission are;

1. 1st Place for Best Event Management Award
2. 1st Place for Best Crisis Management Campaign
Award
3. 1st Place for Best Public Relations Campaign Award
4. 1st Place for Best Public Sector Campaign

Mr. Cris Akufuna, ECZ Public Relations Manager came 2nd in the category of Public Relations Personality of the Year 2016.
