THE TECHNICAL COMMITTEE ON 2021 GENERAL ELECTION AND COVID-19 DEVELOPS OPERATING PROCEDURES AHEAD OF AUGUST POLLS

The Technical Committee to look at modalities of holding the 2021 General Election amid the COVID-19 pandemic is  holding its third meeting running from 19^th to 20^th April 2021.
In this meeting, the Committee is among other things mapping the stakeholder universe in the electoral process and developing Standard Operating Procedures.
 
The Electoral Commission of Zambia Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Kryticous Nshindano announced the establishment of the Technical Committee at a Press Briefing on 2^nd April, 2021.
 
The membership of the Technical Committee has been drawn from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Local Government (MLG), Ministry of Education (MOGE), Zambia National Public Health Institute (ZNPHI), Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (OVP-DMMU), Zambia Centre for Inter Party Dialogue (ZCID), WaterAid, Zambia Police Service (ZPS), Media Institute for Southern Africa (MISA) Zambia Chapter and the Electoral Commission of Zambia.
