The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) hosted media personnel from various media houses in Lusaka District at the ECZ Knowledge Hub in the Lusaka Showgrounds next to the Bank of Zambia Stand on 13th November, 2018. The Commission also hosted students from various higher learning institutions on 14th November, 2018.
The Commission has established a Knowledge Hub programme at its Voter Education Resource Centre (VERC) in the Lusaka Showgrounds in an effort to increase continuous Voter Education activities.
The Knowledge Hub programme is an initiative to invite stakeholders in the electoral process to the VERC for interactions as a way of providing continuous voter education to citizens.
Visitors at the hub are taken through the whole electoral process and given resource materials on elections. Visitors get to ask questions, raise concerns, submit suggestions and recommendations on areas of improvement in the electoral process.
The VERC at the Showgrounds remains open to members of the general public within working hours on weekdays. Citizens are encouraged to visit the Centre and access electoral information, education and materials.
