The (By)-Elections in Lusaka, Chilanga, 6 newly created districts and five ward by-elections have been conducted today as planned with a low number of voters turning up.
The counting of results for polling stations has started. However, the stations that opened late will be compensated with equal time. Results collated will be declared at Constituency level except for Lusaka.
Each of the seven constituencies in Lusaka will collate results for each polling station in the constituency, and in turn the total constituency result will be sent to the District Totaling Centre for collation and final announcement and declaration of the Lusaka Mayor.
Party representation in polling stations across all the districts has included the FDD, NDC, PF, RPP, UNIP, UPND, UPP, UPPZ and Independent Party Agents.
