Staff Attend COBIT Training

COBIT®5 is a comprehensive framework of globally accepted practices that helps enterprise leaders create optimal value from IT by maintaining balance amongst benefits and optimising risk levels and resource use.

The training provides the structure and tools needed to deliver trust and value, manage risk, avoid potential embarrassment and maximize opportunities.

The purpose of the COBIT®5 Foundation Certificate which participants will acquire after an examination is to confirm that each candidate has sufficient knowledge and understanding of the COBIT®5 guidance to enable them understand the enterprise Governance and Management of Enterprise IT.

The training which is taking place at Protea Towers in Lusaka in May, 2018 is facilitated by Mr. Tichaona Zororo. Mr. Zororo is Director of IT Advisory focusing on advising Boards, Senior Business Executives and Management, IT Auditing, IT Governance Advisory, Training and Enterprise Risk Management.
He is an advisor to numerous Boards and Executives in Africa on their role in using Emerging and Merging Technologies to create enterprise sustainable competitive advantage through Digital Transformation, Governance and Management of Enterprise IT, IT Risk, Cybersecurity and IT Auditing.

Director Information Technology (DIT) Mr Dylan Kasonde said the key features of COBIT Training and the advantage of putting this framework at the centre of the governance efforts at the Commission was to provide for the attainment of benefits realisation, risk and resource optimisation which are part of governance objectives.

COBIT 5 is the only business framework for the governance and management of enterprise IT. It is the product of a global task force and development team from ISACA, a nonprofit, independent association of more than 140,000 governance, security, and risk assurance professionals in 187 countries.

Last year, COBIT5 training was conducted from 25th September to 3rd October, 2017 at KPMG, Elunda Park in Lusaka, and covered the foundation and Implementation levels.
