Mr McDonald Chipenzi is a seasoned local and international election, human Rights, civil society and governance Expert, advocate and electoral trainer. He is also a trained in Human Rights expert.
Prior to his appointment as Commissioner at the Electoral Commission of Zambia, he served as Executive Director of Governance, Elections, Advocacy, Research Services [GEARS] Initiative Zambia, and as Chairperson of the Council of Non-Governmental Organisations (CNGOs) in Zambia.
Mr Chipenzi also worked for Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) as Research and Information officer and later as Executive Director.
He served as Board Member of SADC-Electoral Support Network (SADC-ESN), Chairperson for Decentralisation Alliance Network (DAN), Secretary of the Alliance for Good Governance (AGG), Chairperson-Advocacy Committee of Civil Society for Poverty Observatory Group (CS-POG), Board Member of Justice for Widows and Orphans Project (JWOP), member of the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) State of Democracy Network and member of the African Parliamentary Monitoring Organisations (PMOs).
