{"id":3831,"date":"2021-06-01T14:09:29","date_gmt":"2021-06-01T14:09:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.elections.org.zm\/?p=3831"},"modified":"2021-06-01T14:09:31","modified_gmt":"2021-06-01T14:09:31","slug":"job-advertisement-district-election-trainers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elections.org.zm\/?p=3831","title":{"rendered":"JOB ADVERTISEMENT: DISTRICT ELECTION TRAINERS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong> <\/strong>The Electoral Commission of Zambia\n(ECZ) wishes to engage suitably qualified Zambians for the position of <strong>District Election Trainers (DETs)<\/strong>. &nbsp;The DETs will be engaged on part time basis to\ntrain poll staff for the 2021 General Election. &nbsp;Priority will be given to DETs who were\ntrained and engaged for the 2016 General Election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reporting\nto<\/strong>:\nDistrict Electoral Officer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Main\nAccountability<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Training of poll staff <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Duties\nand Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Train\nand evaluate poll staff;<\/li><li>Assist\nin the recruitment of poll staff;<\/li><li>Inspect\nsuitability of training venues;<\/li><li>Ensure\nthat training materials are adequate;<\/li><li>Coordinate\npacking and distribution of training materials;<\/li><li>Administer\nwritten assessment for poll staff;<\/li><li>Prepare\na list of successful poll staff who qualify to receive certificates; and<\/li><li>Prepare\nand submit training reports; and <\/li><li>Performing\nany other election duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent with\npasses in English and Mathematics;<\/li><li>Minimum of a Diploma in a relevant\nfield from a recognized institution;<\/li><li>A higher qualification will be an added\nadvantage;<\/li><li>Proven\nexperience as a DET or Presiding Officer;<\/li><li>Registered voter;<\/li><li>Zambian with a green National\nRegistration Card;<\/li><li>Ready to work in any district within\nthe province of residence; and<\/li><li>Conversant\nwith the Zambian electoral practices and procedures.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Personal\nAttributes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Must\npossess excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills<\/li><li>Must\nbe non-partisan, of sober character and high integrity<\/li><li>Must\nhave good team building ability and a team player<\/li><li>Must\nhave good planning and organizing skills<\/li><li>Must\nbe able to implement training programmes at short notice<\/li><li>Must\nbe a self-starter, driven and motivated<\/li><li>Must\nhave the ability to work with own initiative and innovation while paying\nattention to the Commission policies, guidelines, regulations and other laws\ngoverning the electoral process.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Application letters accompanied by a\nCurriculum Vitae (CV), photocopies of required certificates and contact\nnumber(s), <strong>MUST <\/strong>be addressed\nand sent to the<strong> District Electoral\nOfficer (Town Clerk\/ Council Secretary) of the applicant\u2019s district of\nresidence. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications must reach the District\nElectoral Officer not later than Friday, 4<sup>th<\/sup> June, 2021. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) wishes to engage suitably qualified Zambians for the position of District Election Trainers (DETs).
