{"id":1081,"date":"2018-06-01T09:06:40","date_gmt":"2018-06-01T07:06:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elections.org.zm\/?p=1081"},"modified":"2019-11-20T09:14:16","modified_gmt":"2019-11-20T09:14:16","slug":"job-advertisement-internal-auditor-ict","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elections.org.zm\/?p=1081","title":{"rendered":"Job Advertisement: Internal Auditor &#8211; ICT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-430\" src=\"http:\/\/elections.org.zm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/248300_155514397850128_3425550_n-85x85.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"85\" height=\"85\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>ELECTORAL COMMISSION OF ZAMBIA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>JOB ADVERTISEMENT <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Electoral Commission of Zambia seeks to recruit a qualified and experienced Zambian national to fill one (1) position of <strong>INTERNAL AUDITOR &#8211; ICT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>PURPOSE OF THE JOB<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To plan and ensure that the execution and implementation of audit work plans are conducted and provide specialized, independent and objective assurance service to the Commission.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>REPORTING ACCOUNTABILITY<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a middle management position reporting to the Audit Manager.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performs and leads systems, special and investigative audits in the provision of assurance in governance, risk and control.<\/li>\n<li>Develops and recommends tools for use in the conduct of audit assignments.<\/li>\n<li>Reviews and evaluates the work of Assistant Internal Auditors to ensure that findings are supported by well documented working papers.<\/li>\n<li>Plans meetings and discusses findings and recommendations with client departments.<\/li>\n<li>Provides timely verbal and written updates on progress reports of audit assignments to the supervisor.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares final audit reports and timely submissions to the supervisor.<\/li>\n<li>Plans, performs and documents follow-up audits to ascertain extent of implementation of internal and external audits.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitates the provision of required information to external auditors.<\/li>\n<li>Performs any other related duties that the supervisor may reasonably request form time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Full Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent with credits or better<\/li>\n<li>Full Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), ZICA Professional or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>Certification in IT Audit such as CISA a must.<\/li>\n<li>Must be a fully paid up member to professional bodies.<\/li>\n<li>Three years relevant post qualification experience with a bias in IT Audit.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a quasi-government institution will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Strong ICT skills.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><u>PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Non-partisan.<\/li>\n<li>Honest and reliable with high moral strength.<\/li>\n<li>Innovative and proactive.<\/li>\n<li>High degree of attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>High degree of integrity.<\/li>\n<li>Tact and diplomacy.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with minimum supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><u>SKILLS<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Good inter-personal and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Analytical, organizational and leadership skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good report writing and oral presentation skills.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Interested candidates should send their applications to the undersigned enclosing detailed Curriculum Vitae with names of three (03) traceable referees including their contact phone numbers not later than 30<sup>th<\/sup> June, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Electoral Officer,<\/p>\n<p>Electoral Commission of Zambia,<\/p>\n<p>Elections House, Haile Selassie Avenue,<\/p>\n<p>P.O.
