{"id":1079,"date":"2018-06-01T09:01:38","date_gmt":"2018-06-01T07:01:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elections.org.zm\/?p=1079"},"modified":"2019-11-20T09:17:43","modified_gmt":"2019-11-20T09:17:43","slug":"job-advertisement-assistant-internal-auditor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elections.org.zm\/?p=1079","title":{"rendered":"Job Advertisement: Assistant Internal Auditor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-430\" src=\"http:\/\/elections.org.zm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/248300_155514397850128_3425550_n-85x85.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"85\" height=\"85\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>ELECTORAL COMMISSION OF ZAMBIA<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>JOB ADVERTISEMENT <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Electoral Commission of Zambia seeks to recruit a qualified and experienced Zambian national to fill one (1) position of <strong>ASSISTANT<\/strong> <strong>INTERNAL AUDITOR<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>PURPOSE OF THE JOB<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To assist in the provision of independent and objective assurance service in all areas of governance, risk and control to the Commission.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>REPORTING ACCOUNTABILITY<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a junior position reporting to the Internal Auditor.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performs routine systems and investigative audit tasks as assigned by the supervisor.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares audit assignment plans and makes timely submissions to the supervisor for review.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares and maintains audit working papers required in the conduct of audits and ensures that all audit work is properly and professionally documented and filed.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares draft audit reports highlighting observations, strengths and weaknesses, findings and recommendations and submits to the supervisor for review and evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>Carries out pre-audit of payments and records significant findings for periodical reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Performs any other related duties that the supervisor may reasonably request form time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>ZICA II\/ACCA II or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>Must be a member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).<\/li>\n<li>Three years relevant post qualification experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a quasi-government institution will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Strong ICT skills.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><u>PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Non-partisan.<\/li>\n<li>Honest and reliable with high moral strength.<\/li>\n<li>Innovative and proactive.<\/li>\n<li>High degree of attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>High degree of integrity.<\/li>\n<li>Tact and diplomacy.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with minimum supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><u>SKILLS<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Good inter-personal and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Analytical, organizational and leadership skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good report writing and oral presentation skills.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Interested candidates should send their applications to the undersigned enclosing detailed Curriculum Vitae with names of three (03) traceable referees including their contact phone numbers not later than 30<sup>th<\/sup> June, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Electoral Officer,<\/p>\n<p>Electoral Commission of Zambia,<\/p>\n<p>Elections House, Haile Selassie Avenue,P.O.
