MARKING OF THE VOTER WITH INDELIBLE INK IN THE KASENENGWA PARLIAMENTARY BY-ELECTION

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has determined the dates for nominations and polls for the Kasenengwa Parliamentary and Five (5) Councillor By-elections as 9th August and 6th September, 2018 respectively.

ECZ TO DEPLOY ENUMERATORS TO INTERVIEW HOUSEHOLDS ON LOW VOTER TURNOUT AND PREVALENCE OF REJECTED BALLOT PAPERS

The Commission is currently conducting a training workshop for enumerators from the Zambia Central Statistical Office (CSO). The training is designed to prepare the enumerators for deployment in August, 2018 across Zambia to conduct interviews with households on high prevalence of Rejected Ballot Papers and the incidence of low voter turnout in the 2016 presidential election.

PARLIAMENTARY BY-ELECTIONS FOR KASENENGWA CONSTITUENCY AND FIVE (5) LOCAL GOVERNMENT WARDS

Notice is hereby given to the general public that the Electoral Commission of Zambia has prescribed Thursday, 6th September, 2018 as the date on which to hold the Parliamentary By-election in Kasenengwa Constituency of Kasenengwa District. On the same date, the Commission will also conduct five (5) Local Government by-elections in Kamalamba, Liyovu, Mabili, Nkenyauna and Shikombwe wards.

Polls opened at 06:00 and will close at 18:00.
