    Notice is hereby given to the general public that the Electoral Commission of Zambia has prescribed Thursday 7th April, 2022 as the date on which to hold theMongu District Mayoral by-election in Western Province. On the same date, the Commission will also conduct two (2) Local Government Ward by-elections in Lukutu Ward of Luwingu Town Council in Northern Province and Katimba Ward of Monze Town Council in Southern Province. Mr Mubanga alleged that he did not get any vote at the polling station where he and his family members voted from.

Electoral Commission of Zambia is an independent and autonomous Electoral Management Body (EMB) established in 1996. Since its establishment, the Commission has delivered five (5) General Elections (in 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011 and 2016), two (2) Presidential Elections (in 2008 and 2015) and several National Assembly and Local Government by-elections.
