The Embassy of the United States of America in Zambia nominated the Electoral Commission of Zambia to participate in the International Visitor Leadership Programme (IVLP) in April, 2022.
The U.S. Department of State hosted six officials who represented the Commission.
The exchange program which started in Washington, DC. focused on best practices on conducting elections, transitioning from manual to electronic voting, information dissemination and decentralisation of the registration process.
The ECZ officials also visited Saint Louis, Missouri and Denver, Colorado.
On 15th July, 2022, the ECZ team met with U.S. Embassy officials to share their experiences and lessons.
The ECZ team were also presented with IVLP participation certificates
