1. DEPLOYMENT DAY 1
Deployment began at 13.00 hours with the first Team of Poll Staff taken to the Kamfungo and Chebele polling stations.
Six polling stations are earmarked for deployment by tomorrow day 2. Deployment is expected to be completed by 10.00hrs on Wednesday 10th April, 2019. Tents have been erected where they are required.
2. ACCREDITATION
Accreditation progressed well with twenty organisations accredited so far to monitor and observe the by-elections, among them political parties, various print and electronic media and civil society organisations.
3. BRIEFING OF UNIFORMED STAFF
The briefing of uniformed Staff took place today from 09.00 hours to 12.00 hours.
The briefing was opened by the Provincial Electoral Officer Anusa Zaza, and remarks delivered by the District Electoral Officer, Sombo Kaela. The Police Provincial command were also present.
